Sheep are one of the oldest pure breeds of sheep in the world today. The
breed originated in Sussex, England and was imported to the United States
during the 19th century.
- Renowned for their ability to thrive and produce meaty, hardy lambs on grass and minimal grain
- Economical to raise, docile, easy to manage
- Require less space than many breeds making them ideal for farms with small acreage
- Friendly dispositions
- Excellent mothers, produce plenty of milk for at least 2 lambs, and generally kid well without assistance

“The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Do not grasp at the stars, but do life’s plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.”
-Robert Louis Stevenson
