For Sale

SALES POLICIES - Please read our policies BEFORE calling to reserve a goat/lamb.

Our aim is for each of our customers to be very happy with the goats/sheep that they purchase from us and get many years of enjoyment out of them.

If you want to reserve a spring kid/lamb of a specific sex or out of a specific parentage we require a $50 deposit to hold the kid of your choice. The deposit is non-refundable if you back out or change your mind. However, if we cannot provide you with a kid of the sex and description you reserved (ex. you wanted a female kid out of doe “A” and our doe does not produce this), we will gladly refund your deposit. The remainder of the sales price is due the day you pick your animal up. You must pick up your reserved animal within 15 days of weaning (8 weeks of age for goats, 12 weeks of age for lambs), or be subject to a boarding fee of $15/week. If you still have not picked up the animal within another 30 days, you will forfeit your deposit and the animal will be sold to the next customer on the waiting list. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of the weaning date so that you have plenty of time to arrange transportation and prepare the animals area at home.

We guarantee the health of your new animal for a period of 7 days from the time you pick up your animal. If your animal shows any signs of stress or illness in this period of time, contact us immediately and return the animal to us and we will refund your purchase or provide you with another animal that fits your need if we have any available and that is what you wish. If you take the animal to a vet instead of bringing it to us, we will not be responsible for any vet bills that you incur. We do not guarantee the health or reproductive abilities of any animal sold from our farm after 7 days because the health and performance of your animal is based on the care and feeding it gets from you and the environment in which it is kept. We have no control over these factors once an animal leaves our farm.

Please educate yourself on the care, feeding, and management of your animal well in advance of bringing it home. We will be more than happy to answer questions you have about animal care and to provide advice and guidance anytime you need it. If we don’t know the answer, we can connect you with resources that will. We are always there to provide support to our customers.

A kid goat or lamb kept alone with out another of its kind is subject to great stress and will likely be unhappy and/or unthrifty. We highly recommend that you have at least 2 of the type of animal you are buying to avoid stress on your new animal. If you do not wish to reserve an animal in advance, you can always call us and see if we have anything available for sale.

“The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Do not grasp at the stars, but do life’s plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.”
-Robert Louis Stevenson
